About DECO
In brief
DECO Clay Craft Academy was founded in Japan in 1981 by Kazuko Miyai, creator of CLAYCRAFT by DECO, a lightweight air dry clay used to create lifelike flowers, ornaments, accessories and other craft items. Her daughter, Yukiko Miyai, brought DECO to Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2000, where the U.S. division began. Today the academy has certified more than 5,000 instructors, who teach DECO techniques in classes around the world.
