Do I need to be a member to take classes or purchase clay?
No, it is not necessary. Member benefits, including discounts and special events are available to those who join the Academy.
Do I need to bake the clay for it to harden?
No baking required. Our clays are all air dry. Simple.
How long do the flowers last before they start looking old or faded?
We have many pieces that were made over 15 years ago and the colors are still very vibrant. Continuous direct sunlight exposure will fade pieces more quickly.
My clay has gotten a bit hard. Can I do something to get it back to its new packaged state?
We guarantee unopened clay to remain fresh for 2 years from the date of purchase. If clay has been previously opened then it may have already setup and fresh clay will be required.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, please select your country from the dropdown list. If your country is not listed, we are currently not shipping to this region. We apologize if this is the case for you.

I want to buy an instructional book in English. Which book do you recommend for beginners?
For Instructional books in English, we highly recommend CLAY ART for All Seasons or CLAY ART for Special Occasions. They both are great instructional books with beautiful photos, but if you plan on purchasing our instructional DVD, A Guide to Soft Clay Art, CLAY ART for Special Occasions would complement this DVD best.
I’d like to know how much the shipping would cost. Is there any way I could get a shipping estimate?
We have a very convenient shipping estimate calculator in the shopping cart! To calculate shipping estimate, please add desired items to your shopping cart. Click on shopping cart, and then scroll down to “Estimate your Shipping Rates”. Enter your Country, province and postal code then click “ESTIMATE” for available shipping estimate for your destination. We will also be happy to help you calculate shipping – simply email us your items and shipping address to shop@decoclay.com. We will promptly follow up with your request.
Will I be charged customs duty for my order?
All orders will be dispatched from Honolulu, Hawaii. For all international orders, import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping fees. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility and may be required to pay upon receipt. Please check with your local customs office for more information.
What is the normal order processing time?
Our normal order processing time can take between 1-3 business days from the receipt of your order. Please note that our offices are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Please feel free to email us at shop@decoclay.com if you have any questions or concerns.

What is your return/exchange policy?
To return an item, please email us your return request to shop@decoclay.com within 14 days from delivery of your order. Any return item must be new, unused, in original packaging and in sellable condition. Once we approve your return request, we will provide you with RA# (Return Authorization Number). Please pack your return item, write RA# on the package and ship your returns to:

How can I store open package of clay?
We recommend storing clay in air tight container or a Ziplock bag with a damp paper towel. Change paper towel frequently to prevent molding.
