Rose & Macaron Decorative Box Workshop

Hello, I'm Yukiko Miyai with the DECO Clay Craft Academy and I will be your instructor today.

In today's lesson, you will learn how to make a simple rose, rose leaves, and French macarons. I will show you how you can make this rose one petal at a time using the palm of your hands

Next, I will show you how to make rose leaves and these cute French macarons. Finally, I will summarize by showing you how to arrange these into a small vase.

The clay introduced in today's lesson is our lightweight, air dry, CLAYCRAFT by DECO Soft Clay. We will use mostly white clay, but it also comes in basic colors such as red, yellow, blue, black, green, and brown. Using these 6 colors and white together you can mix endless possibilities of colors and shades.

The clay dries to a natural finish and is light and durable. You can also paint the clay with acrylic paints if you wish.

You can make various pieces including interior design elements, accessories, and wedding flowers. There are so many possibilities with this clay.

Let's make the rose, rose leaves, and French macarons!

Materials used in these projects: paper towels, plastic sheets, drying foam, Ziploc bag, cutters, utility knife, Styrofoam, floral tape and wire, scissors, corsage pins, ruler, leaf mold, glue, container, DECO soft clay.

These workshop video lessons are skills and techniques from the DECO Flower Course and Personal Style Gift Course Curriculum. I encourage you to reach out to one of many DECO Certified instructors for more fun and exciting project lessons!
