Online Workshop – Gardenia

Hello, today I will show you how to make this beautiful gardenia flower.
I will show you how to make each petal by hand and we will arrange the petals together to give beautiful movement to the gardenia. I will also show you how to make the leaves and finally how to decorate the gift box.

Let me start by introducing you to the clay that we will be using. This lightweight clay that we will be using is CLAYCRAFT by DECO Soft Clay. The white clay, red, yellow, blue, black, green, and brown. Using these six colors and white, you can mix endless possibilities of colors and shades.

This clay is an air-dry clay and dries in the natural finish of the color you mixed. It's lightweight and durable, you can also paint the clay with acrylic paints. These flowers are great for interior design pieces, accessories, wedding flowers, and more. The possibilities are truly endless with what you can make with our clay!

Let's start the gardenia lesson.

Materials needed: paper towels, Ziploc bag, drying foam, ruler, glue, scissors, box, detail sticks, Mold G, DECO Soft Clays

These workshop video lessons are skills and techniques from the DECO Flower Curriculum. I encourage you to reach out to one of many DECO Certified instructors for more fun and exciting project lessons!

CLAYCRAFT by DECO was developed in Japan by Kazuko Miyai who founded DECO Clay Craft Academy in 1981. Her passion for crafting inspired her to work with a chemist to develop the perfect clay. When she was finally satisfied with the results, she began doing presentations and conducting workshops to share her love of clay crafting.
DECO Clay Craft Academy was founded in 1981 by Kazuko Miyai. There are now over 6,000 instructors of this craft in Japan, Russia Hong Kong, Taiwan, the United States, and more are being trained every day.
